Joy Begets Joy, Jack Wagon...

Here's the thing about haters; returning their hate gives them power.

Hmm; maybe not power. But it certainly does add fuel to their raging fire -- make that plain old rage.

I'll never understand someone who's angry, spiteful, mean-spirited, and cruel just because they can be.

Shoot, any old jack wagon can do that. But what useful purpose does it serve?

For instance, I write this blog everyday to offer inspiration and joy and hope and faith in a world where they've become rare commodities. I also tend to scrawl happy messages on the white board at my day job.

Lately, I've heard of someone muttering about how dumb the person is penning these cheerful notes. READ: She knows exactly who the author is.

Today, she went so far as to add a little message of her own to mine. 

My white board thought for the day was: "Smile, it makes complaining really hard!" To which someone added, "Sooo true!" and another jotted down, "Amen!"

In walked Glenda the Good Witch's sister who, upon seeing such lighthearted fare promptly penned: "Really? That's stupid!"

Aw; so sad and pathetic, this gal. READ: I know exactly who she is, too.

Here's what: I had a decision; respond in anger or take the high road. I opted for the latter. I erased the hate and replaced it with: "Please be kind. Otherwise, please be silent. Thanks!" 

She soon wiped the entire exchange from the board. I then dropped a house on her. Nah, not really. I took a deep breath and wrote, "Joy begets joy. Spread kindness." 

The bottom line is: I'm not going to stop putting good out into the universe. No matter how many times I have to repeat myself.

Don't let someone else's bitterness leave a bad taste in your own mouth by engaging. Love anyway. Even if she's a real jack wagon, Capisce?
