GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
We've all heard them countless times.

Those cliched adages about "talking the talk" and "walking the walk"...and walking the talk, too. There are a ton of them out there.

PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS.
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
IT'S NOT WHAT YOU SAY, IT'S WHAT YOU DO.

I know, you're probably tired of hearing them, these trite, almost corny sayings. They may be a bit overused to be fair.

But they've stood the test of time for a reason, yo.

The point is simple: people may hear what you say but they follow what you do -- or choose not to follow, Capisce?

It's like my Pop always says, "You're only as good as your word."

So be sure you're not letting your mouth write checks your body can't cash -- to paraphrase Jester in "Top Gun."  At the end of the day, conduct yourself in a way you'll be proud for the whole wide world to see because actions move mountains --but talk is cheap.

Just sayin' ...

1 Tm 2:1-8 Beloved: First of all, I ask that supplications, prayers, petitions, and thanksgivings be offered for everyone, for kings and for all in authority, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all devotion and dignity.  This is good and pleasing to God our savior, who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth.  For there is one God. There is also one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as ransom for all.  This was the testimony at the proper time.  For this I was appointed preacher and Apostle (I am speaking the truth, I am not lying), teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. It is my wish, then, that in every place the men should pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or argument. Jn 3:16 R. Alleluia, alleluia. God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him might have eternal life.
