Light it Up, Peeps!

GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I really hate the dark; seriously. Like, a lot. Not so much because I fear it; I just like things bright. Ask my husband and kid; they'll tell you. I have nearly all the lights in the house on all the time; especially during the winter. I open all the blinds and pull back every shade whenever there's even a hint of sunshine because I just crave light.

The dark is just too gloomy and sad. Cloudy, dreary days are worse than monsoons, if you ask me. OK, maybe not technically worse but still; blech on the dark. Unfortunately, here on the third rock from the sun (and particularly for those of us living in the northeast portion of the "midwest"), into every life, a little dark must descend. Sigh. 

Some days, the only bright spot is the one we make. Don't think you have the ablity to generate a little light? Maybe it's smiling at someone who needs cheered; maybe it's mending a hurt from the past; maybe it's just tossing a few extra dollars into that charitable pool at work or passing along a hug to a friend who's down. Just give a little bit. That's all. You'll be surprised how much brighter the room gets immediately. #makeyourownsunshine #beabrightspot #walkinonsunshine
