Listen, I know you want to ascend the success stairway. Everyone does, my friend. And I get that you're in a hurry to fast-track the whole deal. But here's a bit of free advice from someone who may not be rich or important or famous -- but who has indeed been circling the sun just a little longer than you:

It's better to get ahead by working hard and doing your best than by trying to toss others under the proverbial bus.

Because, and this is key, trying to build yourself up by putting someone else down is like trying to cross a wide river by jumping logs: eventually, you're going to roll off one of them, ya dig? And you'd better be careful because you just might find yourself in some unfriendly rapids when you do. #karma

Look, it's okay to be eager and driven. It's NOT okay to step on the other humans in the process.

So, be a mover. Be a shaker, Heck, jump, jive and wail your way to the top. Just be sure you're not dancing on any ankles in your quest for that coveted mirror ball trophy, Capisce?
