We just wrapped the luckiest weekend of the year.

At least, lots of folks discuss the Luck O the Irish right around this time of year, don't they?

I mean, I suppose it's a luckier time to be Irish than to be, say,  a Roman dictator or perhaps a Russian Czar in mid to late March, yes? #EtTuBrute #Bolsheviks

Speaking of getting stabbed in the back by your best friend ...or worst enemy ...or the person who turns out to be a little of both - it's really not that much fun. 

I mean, when you think someone is above board and a straight shooter and even a pal of yours and then find out he not only threw you under the bus but also left it running and in neutral so it'd be easier to back over you repeatedly? Just ouch. #ITrustedYaDog

Try, as I'm going to very hard to, not to hold onto the sadness that comes with acknowledging the fact that someone you thought had your back was digging a dagger into it all along. Because, even though your knee jerk will be to hate 'em like poison from here to Kalamazoo; letting anger simmer is like keeping a pet mosquito under your shirt all summer. 

It's just going to keep biting you over and over again; and only you, Capsice?

Oh well. Live and learn but don't let it sour you on the peeps who really DO look out for your best interests. "Cause fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, you're a mean rotten so and so. (But I'll probably still forgive you if you apologize and mean it; I'm sort of a dope that way.)

Then again, be a true pal from the word go and I'll gladly hand you my pot of gold every day of the week and twice on Sunday, yo.
