GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Sponsored By www.hbkcpa.com/consultants/joshua-j-zarlenga/ The humans are such a funny, goofy lot, no? For instance, it's mind-boggling to me how we can be so concerned about boiling live lobsters (which makes me cry, BTW) because of the tremendous pain it causes them -- yet be completely indifferent to the incredible cruelty we inflict on each other daily. Huh? Make no mistake, I am 1,000% supportive of the humane treatment of ---well, everything and everyone because I'm all about God's creatures great and small. Except mosquitoes and flies. I'm not gonna lie; them I will obliterate with reckless abandon and zero remorse. #SorryNotSorry I digress. Yet it absolutely astounds me: some of the same peeps who cannot watch ASPCA or WWF commercials because the dogs and polar bears (respectively) look too sad (again, I cry every time) think nothing of verbally ripping their family members, co-workers, or even friends to shreds on a daily basis. Wait, what? Then there's the whole outta whack prioritizing. Consider this: we're all so concerned about our dogs and cats (et al) being home alone that daycare for pets is now a legitimate business. And that's awesome! But, do we always give our own children the same level of affection? It sometimes seems we worry more about whether or not the dog is lonely than whether or not our kids are getting our full attention, Capisce? Look, I adore my Boxer Monnie; hands down mad love. It's just that I love Kyle Kimerer more, you dig? The point is, the way we treat the other homo sapiens matters -- especially the ones we spend the most time with here on earth. Remember: hours and days may crawl at times; but years? They fly, friends. Don't just tell your closest Peeps you care...show them. Everyday. (Your dogs, too, natch.) #ActionsSpeakLouder #TreatEachOtherWell #BeKind Ps 34:4-5, 6-7, 16-17, 18-19 R. (18b) From all their distress God rescues the just. Glorify the LORD with me, let us together extol his name. I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Look to him that you may be radiant with joy, and your faces may not blush with shame. When the poor one called out, the LORD heard, and from all his distress he saved him. The LORD has eyes for the just, and ears for their cry. The LORD confronts the evildoers, to destroy remembrance of them from the earth. When the just cry out, the LORD hears them, and from all their distress he rescues them. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. Verse Before the Gospel Mt 4:4b One does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.
