GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
People often ask me if I'm "always this cheerful?" And the answer is OF FLIPPING COURSE I AM, DING DANG IT!

Okay, not maybe always.

I try to be positive because, it's my nature, my hope and my attempted gift to others. But I'm not always a swimming success.

Because some days I'm insecure about the job I'm doing parenting...since that's the only work I have here on earth that really matters. I mean, what if I get something wrong and it scars my child irreparably? #momworries

Then again, my day job's pretty important, too. And when I feel I've missed the mark on a communication, a task, an assignment or even an interaction with a colleague, I tend to beat myself up...for days...on end. #selfpressureistheworstkind

Not to mention the general concern I have for my loved ones, my friends, my neighbors, my country ... um, the world we live in today... sigh.

It's not easy being green. Or Mom. Or Communications Director. Or Columnist/Blogger. Or incessant worrier.

Then again, it's not easy being Dad ... or police officer, teacher, nurse, sanitation engineer, maintenance supervisor -- you get the gist. Some days, we are all a little unsure of ourselves. Am I doing things right? Am I hitting my mark? Am I meeting all expectations?

Sigh. Worry is an exhausting and useless exercise. And it doesn't even burn any calories!

Stop. Breathe. Pray. Think.

Try your hardest. Do what you can to be the best you can be; never stop trying to improve. And have a little faith that things will be okay. Smile ... it makes it really hard to fret when you're smiling. Happy Monday & Happy First Day of Spring ... from the most cheerful flipping gal around!

Reading 2 Rom 4:13, 16-18, 22 - Brothers and sisters:It was not through the law that the promise was made to Abraham and his descendants that he would inherit the world, but through the righteousness that comes from faith. For this reason, it depends on faith ... He believed, hoping against hope, that he would become the father of many nations, according to what was said, 'Thus shall your descendants be' That is why it was credited to him as righteousness. Verse Before the Gospel Ps 84:5 - Blessed are those who dwell in your house, O Lord; they never cease to praise you.

Even when you are annoyed by something, or someone, you are still one of the most kind, and most adorable, people I know.
