Alleluia Heb 4:12 The word of God is living and effective, able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.
I wonder how many thoughts the average human has zipping around the old gray matter in a day? Hmm.
Okay fine, I gave this thought more than its fair share of loggin' in the noggin and finally the question simply got the better of me. So I did what all inquiring minds do, I searched that sucker.
I turned up a fairly recent article from the Huffington Post entitled "There are 50,000 Thoughts Standing Between You and Your Partner." It states:
"... we have between 50,000-70,000 thoughts per day, this means between 35 and 48 thoughts per minute per person. The steady flow of thinking is a thick filter between our thoughts and feelings, our head and heart..."
Man, that is a LOT of thinking, yo. If only you could make a living getting a literal penny for your thoughts somehow. More hmm.
I digress (and now I know why!).
Sheesh! With that amount of neuroactivity firing off at any given millisecond, it's no wonder so many of us can't remember anything we say or do. Including where we left our phones; what we did with the plastic wrap and which particular day of the week it is. #WishIWasJoking
I mean, it seems like most of the time we are on logic overload, no? I think today I might just be short-circuiting. #BrainDrain
And so, on the off chance that I totally space out on her upcoming birthday, I want to shout out to my sista from anotha mista, Kimberly. We are separated by geography, not lack 'o love. Please know that you consume many of those tens of thousands of ticker flickers from my loopy lobe and back again. #LoveYaKim
Missing my little Floridian sister girlfriend and wishing her a very happy early 38th birthday. ;-
