GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

I have been accused of many things in my lifetime. Among the charges:
-YOU ARE TOO SENSITIVE. (Um, true.)
-YOU SNORT WHEN YOU LAUGH. (Also, sadly, true.)
-YOUR HAIR IS ABSOLUTELY UNKEMPT. (#wildandwooly Painfully true.)
-YOU ARE LOUD. (Guilty as charged. I AM half-Italian, in my own defense.)
In fact, never have I EVER been accused of having --how can I put it?-- a small mouth. Ooh, wait! I take it back.
One time, way back in like the early 1990s, friends and I were having a caricature drawn while visiting Cedar Point. The gal sketching us said to me, "You have such big eyes and this little tiny mouth." All of my buddies and family members in attendance BURST INTO HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER at the comment.
"It's not THAT funny!" I remember saying, rather wounded-ly.
But the fact of the matter is, PK is loud, yo. #WhatCanISay #ItalianGirls #SorryNotSorry
Typically, I can contain the decibel level but, on occasion, I have been known to unwittingly shatter an ear drum or two. Especially when I am very, very excited... or happy...or scared...or angry, Capisce?
Last Saturday, at a big swim meet for my son and his pals, I was very, very excited for them to win their last event. Which they did.
Do you think it's a coincidence that they went so fast that they broke a record and I screamed so noisily that I busted a vocal cord? (Well, almost.)
Neither do I. Wink.
Either way, I apologize for being super loud...but not for being super proud. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat...heck, who am I kidding? I will on Saturday.

Jas 1:12-18 Blessed is he who perseveres in temptation, for when he has been proven he will receive the crown of life that he promised to those who love him.No one experiencing temptation should say, I am being tempted by God"; for God is not subject to temptation to evil, and he himself tempts no one. Rather, each person is tempted when lured and enticed by his desire. Then desire conceives and brings forth sin, and when sin reaches maturity it gives birth to death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers and sisters: all good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no alteration or shadow caused by change. He willed to give us birth by the word of truth that we may be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. Alleluia Jn 14:23 Whoever loves me will keep my word, says the Lord; and my Father will love him and we will come to him.
