GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
We all have them. Even the most hard-working, motivated and positive among us: slumps.  Nothing kills creativity, enthusiasm and drive faster than a downturn in attitude -- and it can happen quickly and with little provocation. One hurtful or derogatory comment can torpedo momentum in a flash. Sigh.

As leaders, whether parenting, managing, coaching, mentoring or advising, it is our main job to keep the team engaged, inspired and enthusiastic. The arguably most important characteristic in a boss is his or her ability to instill passion in the members of the team; to keep them interested to the point of action; to hearten their collective spirit.

One quick, easy and fail proof method of instant motivation is letting your team know how much they are valued. Show them appreciation; offer them praise on the things they've accomplished; remind them of their successes and inspire them to achieve even greater ones by showing them that you believe they can ... and will through hard work and dedication.

He said to her, 'Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.' Jesus said, 'Why do you make a commotion and weep? The child is not dead but sleeping.' And they laughed at him. Then he put them all outside, and took the child’s father and mother and those who were with him, and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha cum,” which means, “Little girl, get up!” And immediately the girl got up and began to walk about..."

That is so true. It only takes a complement or two to give someone encouragement!
