GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The past is gone. Yesterday's history. You can't undo what's done. We've all heard the mantras telling us to look forward and never back. And that's good advice -- mostly. But some days, a little reverse is just what you need to hurtle you forward. Take the other day, for instance. No seriously, I wish you could. And not only rewind but also completely erase it.

It was not the best day ever. But only because I found out I had to have my tooth pulled...this after having begun the day by leaving my laptop plugged in at home and only remembering it when I went to adjust it to my docking station at work...where I then proceeded to receive approximately 879 simultaneous requests for immediate assistance once back online; only to discover I had also left my lunch bag on the counter (yep, technically forgot it twice) then having my cell phone completely die. Did I mention I happened to glance down at my anniversary band and noticed a diamond had fallen out? Good times.

And, as I sat in the drive-through line at Dunkin' Donuts and cursed my rotten day, I glanced backward at a young couple in the car behind me. They were each looking out opposing windows deep in their own thoughts, I suppose. And suddenly it occured to me that it might make my day a whole lot brighter if I shone a little light somewhere else. So I paid it backward and BAM! The smiles on their faces put one on mine. P.S. I somehow managed to find the stone out of my ring, too?  Hmm. Seems putting a little good out there sure doesn't hurt anything.

R. Alleluia, alleluia. Behold, the Lord comes to save his people; blessed are those prepared to meet him.  Gospel Mt 11:28-30 - Jesus said to the crowds: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest..."
