GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
You know, many friends and family members often ask me "Is it hard to think of something to write for your blog every single day?"
Um, yes and no. Some days it's more of a challenge than others, much like with most things in life. Depends on many factors, really; my frame of mind, the time of day at which I write, what's happening in the world or in the one immediately surrounding me.
Today is a toughie.
I'm a little crabby, a little stressed and just a little out of sorts. Hmpf.
Which is why I need to remind myself and all y'all that "every little thing is gonna be alright," as Bob Marley would say.
How do I know? Aw, a little birdie told me. And by birdie I mean the good book...and it ain't so little, yo.
But it sure is full of hope and encouragement and good advice and stuff like that. I'm pretty sure it's where Marley got his best material. Either way.
So take it from me and the little birdie, even on crummy days when you feel all floopy and your computer keeps freezing up on you and you're WAY irritated and you'd like to scream for a good long hour or so -- you just need to take a deep breath. Stop for a moment to remember: that's all it is - just a moment. And not necessarily your defining one, either. It'll pass ... and then all will be well.
Deep breaths, deep faith and hey, if the situation is really, really stressful maybe even a deep dish pizza, capisce?
Happy Tuesday; it's all smooth sailing from here!
PS 17:1B, 2-3, 6-7AB, 8B AND 15 R. (15a) - In justice, I shall behold your face, O Lord. Hear, O LORD, a just suit; attend to my outcry; hearken to my prayer from lips without deceit. From you let my judgment come; your eyes behold what is right. Though you test my heart, searching it in the night, though you try me with fire, you shall find no malice in me. I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my word. Show your wondrous mercies, O savior of those who flee from their foes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. I in justice shall behold your face; on waking, I shall be content in your presence. Alleluia JN 10:14-I am the good shepherd, says the Lord; I know my sheep, and mine know me.
