GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Sometimes, it's just important to listen.
In today's mad-paced, frenzy-scheduled and busy-to-the-hilt world, it may be more crucial now than ever before (at least in recent memory) for us to take the time to center ourselves.
No task, no conversation, no event, no chore, no test, no project -- no nuthin' should be entered into with a cluttered mind and an active mouth. Instead, open your ears, open your heart and focus your thoughts. You'll be surprised what you learn, understand, absorb and hear when you listen rather than speak.
So, every so often, just hush. Or, as my Pop says, "Sta 'zitto!"
R. Be merciful, O Lord, for we have sinned. For I acknowledge my offense, and my sin is before me always:"Against you only have I sinned, and done what is evil in your sight." If today you hear His voice, harden not your heart.

We have two ears, two eyes, one mouth! As my Dad would often say, "See and Listen twice as much as you speak!". Good thought.............

Your Dad sounds wise like my Pop! Thanks, Jean!

It's always good to think about what you are going to say before you say it! That is something I struggle with daily. Perhaps this is something to concentrate on during this Lenten Season.
