Ps 23: The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want. He guides me in right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side..."

I say this every year.

#VeteransDay is wonderful. It's much-deserved. It's proper. It's only right.

But it shouldn't just be acknowledged on November 11th, Capisce?

For the men and women who have or are now putting their lives on the line for EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US?

One measly day? Naw. They deserve more.

SO MUCH MORE.

I saw this gentleman in the parking lot of a doctor's office yesterday. He had a black ball cap on designating his branch and unit of service in gold embroidery.

I called out to him from my car window as I waited my turn in line. "Sir?"

"Yes?" he answered.

"Thank you," I said, as I make a point to do for every U.S. veteran to cross my path. Any day. Every day. Ever.

"For what?" he inquired.

"For your service. For your honor. For everything you've done for me. Thank you," I smiled.

He nodded and told me he was excited to fly his flag today.

Fly your flag EVERY DAY, people. High and proud.

And THANK A VETERAN. Today, tomorrow, always.

I want to give a special shout out to our friend Brad Smith. Army veteran, patriot, amazing husband, Dad, friend, and American. Thank you for your service, Bad Brad.

And to my favorite Naval Academy Midshipman, Callen Aulizia...I love and miss and pray for you. Every. Single. Day.

Without the grace and blessings of God, the true treasure of family, and the tremendous sacrifice of the U.S. military, I shudder to think where we'd be in these (hopefully still) United States.

Me and my house? We grateful, yo.

God bless all Veterans (past, present, future) -- today and always.

Very well put as always. I cried thinking of my Marine brother who has passed at 64. Way too young but that is what happened to some of our military who came back with issues. Miss him so much. I praise EVERYONE who served and protected me and everyone else in the US. You are the greatest and your writings are the BEST.........

I read a statement about members of the armed forces that said it all:
"A member of the military signs a blank check to the United States of America, up to and including his (or her) life."
