GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Sponsored by hbkcpa.com/consultants/melissa-crowley/

At the risk of eardrum damage, today’s one of those days when I have to do it. I need to slap on the headphones and turn the volume up to 10. #blockingoutthenoise

I know, I know – the sheer idiocy of doing what I have chastised my son for since he was old enough to don a headset. #hypocrisy

Okay, I’ll try to keep it to a 7. Or 8. Um, 8.75, tops. Sigh.

It’s just that, on a day like today, the ends justify the means. And the means would be my sanity, yo. #notkidding

Because there are times in the busy everyday lives of the humans when they just need to drown out the crud and make their own joyful noise, you dig? You know, days when the office phone won’t stop ringing and the IM won’t stop pinging and your cell phone keeps on dinging and you realize, you need to be singing (in your head, anyway) -- otherwise, you may start swinging, Capisce?

So, when the stressors in your orbit are mounting faster than snowflakes in Buffalo … take a moment. Find your comfort music selection. Affix your earbuds or head phones securely. Then turn the volume up. Way up. #isntthatbetter

Decompress and dance to the beat of your own eardrums, yo. #musicmakesyouhappy

Ps 89:20, 21-22, 27-28 R. (21a) I have found David, my servant. Once you spoke in a vision, and to your faithful ones you said: "On a champion I have placed a crown; over the people I have set a youth." "I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him, That my hand may be always with him, and that my arm may make him strong." "He shall say of me, 'You are my father, my God, the Rock, my savior.' And I will make him the first-born, highest of the kings of the earth." Alleluia See Eph 1:17-18 May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our hearts, that we may know what is the hope that belongs to our call.

Music to my ears and ears to my music
I stroll past my shadow and into the light of the day
To find waiting for me
The dance of the moon. stars and comets as they shriek past
Fading only when the last note swims oit of sight
