An AWFUL lot of folks have gone to a whole heap of trouble...like miles and miles out of their collective way... to wish me a Happy Birthday today.

I am absolutely and utterly OVERWHELMED and HUMBLED by the outpouring of love, kindness, consideration, well-wishing and sheer, genuine affection that has been tossed at old (and I do mean old) PK. #BLESSED

The cards, the texts, the flowers, the candy (and rice cakes!), the fruit, the IMs, the calls, the messages, the gifts, the HUGS, the decorations  -- it is all so incredibly thoughtful and kind and just so, so much more than this old gal has any right to, Capsice? #GRATEFUL

"Thanks" hardly seems sufficient in light of such a FLOOD of benevolence and sweetness...but from the bottom of this half-century-old ticker:

​The first 50 has been pretty darn awesome. In fact, it's been fabulous beyond what I expected, imagined or deserve.

​I thank the good Lord and all the super terrific peeps He plopped into my life over the course of the last five decades. Can't wait to see what the next 50 trips around the sun have in store. #WINK
