GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Sponsored by hbkcpa.com/consultants/joshua-j-zarlenga/ You know how sometimes, it's Sunday afternoon and you get the dreaded "Monday Mopes?" There you are, all lamenting the end of the weekend --and wasting what's left of it, BTW-- when suddenly BAM! The mopes change up their mojo... You're watching the Sunday Showcase between your fingers because your favorite team just blew up their entire roster :14 before the end of the NBA trade deadline three days earlier. You're hopeful but terrified -- it is a literal fear of the unknown. Will these young kids perform? How long will it take for them to acclimate to the way Cleveland operates? Will the remaining veterans welcome or resent the young blood? Is King James pleased? Gulp. And then it happens. All the stars align. The moon takes up residence in that famous seventh house and Jupiter and Mars buddy up, you dig? Translation: the new-and-improved Cleveland Cavaliers beat the tar out of the Boston Celtics right there on national TV... right there on their home court in the TD Garden...and right there in front of Paul Pierce, who was court-side awaiting his jersey-retiring ceremony to begin. It couldn't start fast enough for Pierce, Kyrie Irving and the rest of the Celtics (and their irritated fans), Capisce? Look, I don't know how the Cavs will end up this year, but, as always, I am all in. #DefendtheLand #Cavaliers #LeBronJames And the huge, impressive win yesterday aside, the renewed hope that the Cavs nation is experiencing is a great reminder. If I can put my trust in some dudes I don't even know sitting up in some obscure front office of the Quicken Loans Arena...then I can surely have faith in the greatest, most important Coach, Playmaker and Teacher ever, right? Happy Monday, all! #havealittlefaith #GodisGood and oh, yeah: #LetsGoCavs Ps 119:67, 68, 71, 72, 75, 76 R. (77a) Be kind to me, Lord, and I shall live. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I hold to your promise. You are good and bountiful; teach me your statutes. It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn your statutes. The law of your mouth is to me more precious than thousands of gold and silver pieces. I know, O LORD, that your ordinances are just, and in your faithfulness you have afflicted me. Let your kindness comfort me according to your promise to your servants. Alleluia Jn 14:6 R. Alleluia, alleluia. I am the way and the truth and the life, says the Lord;no one comes to the Father except through me.
