GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
If today is the first day of the rest of my life, how come I want it to be midnight already so I can put this one to bed?
Long, deep, slow breath.
Someone out there would be so grateful for the opportunity to have the crappy day I'm having.
Someone who's struggling with addiction or fighting an injustice or dangling on a ledge, either metaphorically or in reality.
So what if today isn't the greatest one I've ever had? It certainly isn't the worst. At least I'm upright and breathing with the best kid, hubby, family and friends on this gravity-filled ball 'o fun. S'all good. Besides, tomorrow's a shoe-in for being better, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.
Life is a blessing; even on the cruddiest of Wednesdays, yo.
Mk 1:15 R. Alleluia, alleluia. The Kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel. Gospel Lk 9:1-6 Jesus summoned the Twelve and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He said to them, "Take nothing for the journey, neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money, and let no one take a second tunic. Whatever house you enter, stay there and leave from there. And as for those who do not welcome you, when you leave that town, shake the dust from your feet in testimony against them." Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere.
