GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
It's hard sometimes, not noticing stuff. You know, fancy cars; flashy jewelry; expensive clothes. Stuff. It's not horrible, having nice stuff. What IS horrible, is envying someone else's stuff.
Maybe it's a job position or corner office. Could be that dream house. Perhaps it's those kickin' new boots you've been eyeing. Whatever the object, sometimes we find ourselves resenting others when they land that thing which we ourselves want. Guess what? It's just stuff.
And in the end, I don't remember what brands of clothes they wore or how much their cars cost. I can't recall if they wore designer fragrances or into which tax bracket they fell. All I know is, I love and miss my grandparents with my whole heart because all three of them made me feel special, important, loved. Treating others in a way that sticks with them; offering kindness, empathy, forgiveness, compassion. That's the best stuff. #whatmatters #caring
