It fills me with great pride and joy to see American flags blowing in the breeze ---or woven into dress shirts ---or smartly sported on ties, scarves, handbags, jackets, etc. I make no apologies for and am quite upfront about being very, very patriotic. I love the military, I love this country, I love 'Murica. (See "About" section of this Blog for additional support on this.) All that being said -- I'm half Canadian today. To be clear, I have been since May 25th. What's that, eh? You don't know why, hoser? Unless you live on planet Zeldon in the furthest quandrant of some remote galaxy thousands of light years away, you are aware that the Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors last night in Game 6 of the NBA Finals last night. Allow me to say how badly I feel for Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson (the Warrior I hate the least) for their respective injuries. It's awful that they are both hurting physically and each facing a tough recovery road. It doesn't mean I suddenly despised the Warriors any less or that I changed my opinion about wanting them to three-peat. I.DID.NOT. Nor will I ever be a fan of GSW, despite their obvious super-human collective talent for playing the game of basketball. But do I feel sorry for Steph Curry? Yeah, right. Do I suddenly adore Andre Iguodala? Nope. Am I depressed for Draymond Green this fine Flag Day? Aw HEX no. That is a hard, hard no, BT dubs. #StillHateDraymond Now, if you choose to chastise me for this opinion, that's okay. It's your right in the beautiful democratic society. But if you do, bear in mind how tired I am from staying up late to watch post-game coverage and please yell Kawhi-etly. Had to do it. Congratulations, Toronto Raptors - the curse is broken! I hope Drake's new song about y'all is downloaded a bazillion and a half times. #WeTheNorth
