GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Whomp, there it is. Kyle's first day of Senior Year. His last first day of school until college.

Hard, hard gulp.

Man...talk about a knockdown; I feel a little like Connor McGregor in the 10th round on Saturday.

#EmotionalTKO

Ooh how I love it when people tell me not to blink or to enjoy every second of Kyle's senior year or warn me that it will fly from today to graduation. Oh wait, no, no I don't.

I know that it's rushed by in a flash. I know that a year from now I'll be in a heap on the floor in the fetal position when he heads to college. I know that every moment of every day with my only child in the world is precious.

Sniff.

But, at least for today and the near future, I still have a mountain of boy stuff strewn about the house every place imaginable ... including swim caps on my couch and pencils in my peanut bowl. Thank goodness.

All I can do is my best to be sure he is well, happy, and cared for ... and that he understands that Mommy loves him more every day we wake up on the third rock from the sun.

Sigh.

Enjoy this last year of high school, darlin' - all Dad and I want for you is THE BEST OF EVERYTHING; today and always.

Happy Senior Year!

Ps 149:1b-2, 3-4, 5-6a and 9b R. (see 4a) The Lord takes delight in his people. Sing to the LORD a new song of praise in the assembly of the faithful. Let Israel be glad in their maker, let the children of Zion rejoice in their king. Let them praise his name in the festive dance, let them sing praise to him with timbrel and harp. For the LORD loves his people, and he adorns the lowly with victory. Let the faithful exult in glory; let them sing for joy upon their couches; Let the high praises of God be in their throats. This is the glory of all his faithful. Jn 10:27 R. Alleluia, alleluia. My sheep hear my voice, says the Lord; I know them, and they follow me.

Well, I was going to offer a piece of advice but you just said how much it irritates you so on that note, I will just say: Enjoy the day! And best to Kyle always!!
