When Push Comes to Shrug

The thing about pushing the other humans away is ... one day, they'll stay there.

Look, we earthlings are quite the flawed bunch. As a general way of being, we're rather selfish, needy, greedy, glutenous, and not always very thoughtful.

And those aren't even our worst offenses, I'm afraid.

Naturally, we have redeeming qualities, too. We're not all bad, yo.

But one challenge many of us face is being too tough on the other inhabitants of the third rock. Sometimes we are just unkind. All of us, unfortunately.

We do it in a myriad of ways -- perhaps even unknowingly.

Maybe we're overly critical. Maybe we're highly judgmental. Maybe we're unsympathetic or downright mean.

Maybe we just plain ignore the needs of another. Sniff.

But sometimes, after many moons of being treated poorly, a human being will give one last deep, heaving sigh and say: 

"Ne ho avuto abbastanza."

Or, as my circle shortens the phrase, "Basta."  (That's Italian for, "I've had enough.")

Of course there are always the really daft humans like the one writing this, who will always give folks unlimited second chances.

Maybe because she realizes she pretty faulty herself. #WeAllMessUp #KeepTryingToDoBetter

The good news is, there's always hope for redemption if you're really sorry. Not necessarily with every homosapien so much (be warned!) -- but definitely with the one who put 'em here. 

And maybe it's high time we stopped pushing Him away, too, Capisce?     #BeKind #LoveOneAnother #Peace #Pray
