We loved listening to fun, peppy songs like "Eh Cumpari," the "Tarantella," "Funiculi, Funicula," "Peppino, the Italian Mouse," and of course, the classic "Toot Too Root". #YouHaveToBeItalian I also remember this one hilarious song (possibly my favorite!) about shrugging your shoulders, shaking your head, and saying --I know I'm not going to get this right-- imbe. I loved that song; can't seem to find it anywhere online. If you are able to locate a link to a recording or video, please LMK! I digress. The silly little ditty was the way-back-in-the-day, Italian equivalent of today's SMH, Capisce? Because some days, the other humans will just do things that make you literally shake your head. Or scratch it. Or make you want to ram it into your desk. Or wind up helping it develop a migraine. Deep, Resounding Sigh. Ah well, don't do any of that stuff to your poor noggin, just do like they sang in that old canzone: "Shrugga you shoulders, shaka you head and say like this, IMBE!" Heck, you can even can say a little somethin somethin stronger, if you whisper it, yo. Don't let the idioti get you down. Just keep shruggin', shakin', and smilin' my friends! P.S. Shout out to my niece Alexis, who's celebrating her birthday today. LOVE YOU MORE, ALLIE!!!!! XOXOXOXO
