GRATEFUL GIRL'S THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Have you ever had something really terrific happen to you and felt like...wait, what, are you sure? This is for ME?

Yeah, me, too. I'm not sure why, but for many of us, when good fortune smiles our way, we turn to look behind us to check for the intended recipient. #confidenceissues

Wheter it's praise for a job well done in the office; a compliment abut appearance; a vase full of beautiful red roses or a heartfelt, thoughtful gesture or note from a loved one---heck, it could be something as random as winning $10 on a lottery ticket ... sometimes our knee jerk reaction to a stroke of good luck is to feel that we don't deserve it.

But here's the thing; you are important, worthy, fantastic and wonderful. Don't take my word for it, there's someone WAY more important smiling down on you; even when you don't realize it.

So, take the good when it comes --'cause we all know there'll be days when it's nowhere to be found!-- just accept it as a blessing for which to be grateful.

Work hard, do good, care deeply, love big, give freely, try your best, be earnest, and humble and gracious. And then, when the fruits of those labors finally ripen, smile and say THANK YOU. And mean it.

Lk 1:26-38-The angel Gabriel ... said (to Mary), "Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you."But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his Kingdom there will be no end."... Mary said, "Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word."

"I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And gosh darn it, people like me!"
